We have all found new hobbies in the age of quarantine, some of them fairly expensive. You may have found in your stay at home adventures the escape video games can bring. Whether you have a console or play on PC the price of playing doesn’t always come cheap.

Apparently, Amazon thinks it can carve its own niche out of the gaming industry. Whether or not that is true, we have no idea. But we’re certainly interested by the attempt, and we’re going to tell you all about it. The gaming service will be called Luna, and it is going to use Amazon Web Services, or AWS, as its main foundation. According to CNET, the service will supposedly be available anywhere, including on iPhone and iPad. Starting today, one can request early access to this service.

Considering the success of the Switch, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Nintendo has no intention of leaving the hardware scene at any point in the near future. In a corporate management briefing, Nintendo confirmed that they are working on new hardware: but as for when it will release, apparently they are only willing to say this it will be sometime before 2099. More accurately, the statement was that their “next gaming system” would launch sometime in “20XX.”

If you’ve been keeping up with the Nintendo Switch situation, then you probably know that finding one over the past few months has been quite an ordeal. With the pandemic going on, people starting staying home far more than they were used to, and the boredom of such a thing set in quite quickly. Just like that, folks were looking for new ways to entertain themselves, and so the Nintendo Switch became absurdly popular very quickly. In no time at all, it was almost impossible to find the console at any storefront, and the ones you could find online were generally sold at exorbitant prices.

Fans of the legendary XCOM series have gone quite some time since the last major content for the franchise, the War of the Chosen expansion for XCOM 2, which is several years old. And yet, the Firaxis franchise is very suddenly getting a spin-off title. What is even more surprising is that it is right around the corner.

It was only recently that a leak tipped society off to the upcoming release of the Modern Warfare 2 Remastered title, and yet Eurogamer announced that the listing for the PlayStation 4 is accurate, and despite that listing being removed, the Remastered campaign for the game is launching on March 31st: that’s tomorrow, of course.

The recent Direct Mini from Nintendo came as a surprise to just about everyone, mostly because it wasn’t announced beforehand. The thirty-minute long presentation included a massive array of information, including the release of the Panzer Dragoon remake, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Good Job on the Switch. A demo for Square Enix’s Bravely Default 2 has also been made available, giving players plenty of things to enjoy doing today and for some time in the future.
