1. Best Overall: HP 2019 14 Inch Laptop: Intel Core i3, 8GB Memory, 128GB Solid State Drive, Ash Silver Keyboard Frame (14-CF0014DX)
HP 14-CF0014DX Laptop Review
This HP 14-CF0014DX 2019 14″ Laptop is our top pick simply because of the overall excellent value and super low price. You’ll get premium features like a touch-enabled screen, a fast solid-state hard drive, 8GB of memory and more, all for the price you would normally see for a basic, low end, entry-level laptop.
Whether you are looking for a laptop for school, work, or play, you require certain specs or features in order to get that paper written, project completed, or game won, and with this HP 14″ laptop you get just that. You will, first of all, be up to date with the already installed Windows 10 Home operating system, Microsoft’s latest and best version yet, which offers the ability for quick navigating, easy organization, and overall convenient computing experience.
Not the standard 15″ or a small 13″ screen, but just in between. The 14″ diagonal touchscreen is a great size to have if you’re looking for a compact laptop that is small enough to carry around yet large enough to properly see what you’re working on, or watching. And with a 1366 x 768 HD resolution, this HP laptop offers plenty of opportunity to multi-task with having to strain your eyes in the process.
Along with the large 14″ visual area coupled with the HD resolution, you’ll also require the software to be able to handle all that workload, and with the 7th Gen Intel Core i3-7100U mobile Processor, it can. With its smart dual-core and four-way processing performance you’ll be able to run multiple programs, stream music and video, and video chat with the front-facing camera with built-in microphone all with little or no lag. This is also in part due to the 8GB of RAM memory installed in this laptop, which was a RAM capacity, until recently, only found on premium laptops.
Another feature that was largely reserved for higher-end laptops is the Solid State hard drive. Operating like flash memory, the 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD) ensures you’ll experience faster boot times, fast navigation through the rest of the computer, and, of course, longer battery life since it uses less energy. Having a SSD compared to a traditional Hard Drive is like night and day.
Poor features, basic hardware, and low-grade software are what you would expect from a laptop priced in the mid-$300s, but surprisingly that is not the case for the HP 2019 14″ laptop. As one of the best HP laptops of 2019, and coming in at just over 4lbs, this laptop is an excellent option with its solid hardware build and amazing software specs. It simply offers premium computing features at an excellent price, which makes it a hard one to pass up.
