Quite frankly, Nintendo games don’t go on sale very often, so in the rare event that they do, you should always take advantage of it, even if the savings are small. $8 off of a $60 game isn’t the greatest discount you could ever see, but that’s still $8 you don’t have to spend. In the case of Super Mario Maker 2, there’s a deal going on at Amazon right now in which you can get it for $51.98; just over $8 of its usual price of $59.99. Considering how popular the game is, chances are its worth a buy for Mario fans, so getting even a little bit off is better than paying full price.

Super Mario Maker 2 is a sequel to the original creation game that was on the Wii U, but thankfully, the very nature of the game means you don’t need to have any experience with the first one to pick up its sequel and start having fun right away. The game is jam-packed with 100 pre-made traditional Mario levels, and has a virtually unlimited number of community creations for an endless sea of level variety. The game itself is neatly divided into three sections; the two most notable are of course the level creator mode, where you can design and create your very own Mario levels, and an online browser mode, where you can play on the creations of other players, alone or in multiplayer. Of course, there is still a ‘story’ mode, in which you help a bunch of hapless Construction Toads across the aforementioned built-in levels.

The 100 built in levels means that, even if you aren’t the type of person that usually dabbles in level creation, there is still a lot for you to enjoy in Super Mario Maker 2. For one, 100 different levels means it’s practically just a standalone Mario game as well, and even if you never bother creating your own levels, there are always plenty of interesting and unique levels to play on thanks to the endless imagination of the community.

There’s no way to predict how long this deal will last, so if you are interested in picking up Super Mario Maker 2, now would be a very good time to do it. $8 isn’t very much, but it’s money you can spend on something else, and it’s always good to save in any capacity that you can manage.
