One of the first two available games is Disney Bolt, a single-player adventure game based on the 2008 Disney animated movie of the same name. This Xbox 360 game follows the titular ‘super’ dog and his owner Penny as they embark on various missions and battle against villainy with his movie superpowers, such as the ‘superbark’ and ‘laser eyes.’ Thanks to its backwards compatibility, this game will be available for download on Xbox One until October 15th.
Next up is Tembo the Badass Elephant from 2015. This Xbox One game is a 2D side-scrolling platformer in which you control the titular elephant Tembo, who is, of course, a badass. He fights through Shell City, shooting water with his trunk, smashing through objects with his tusks, and smashing enemies with his heavy weight. His mission: defeat a paramilitary force known as Phantom. That game will be available all month long.
One of the other free games this month will be Friday the 13th: The Game. It’s a third-person survival horror game, which lets up to eight people play at once. Seven players control camp counselors while the eighth player controls the infamous Jason Voorhees. The game will be available for Xbox Live Gold members from October 15th to November 15th.
Finally, we have Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, which will also become available on October 15th. This action-adventure game stars the series’ main hero, Ryu Hayabusa, in an upgraded version of the original Ninja Gaiden 3. Razor’s Edge also includes a lot of other playable characters that the original didn’t, each with their own special abilities. Naturally, the game follows the same basic mechanics of the Ninja Gaiden games that had come before it. This Xbox 360 game will be available until October 31st.
While those are all of the games coming to Gold for October, don’t forget that you still have a little time to get your hands on the final September game, We Were Here, which will be available until October 15th.
